It’s a little too much branding, and the lettering messes with the smooth surface of the touchpad.Īlso bundled with the limited edition PS4 Pro is a copy of the game, and PlayStation was generous enough to throw in the Steelbook case featuring an artwork of Ellie. The touchpad has the title of the game written on it too, which I personally don’t quite like.
In my opinion, this is the most aesthetically pleasing limited edition PS4 Pro system to be released.Īs for the DualShock 4 – finished in Steel Black – Ellie’s fern tattoo in found on the lower right hand side of the controller. In person, the engraving looks sublime, and just running my finger through the fern and moth engravings feel fantastic. Now then, let’s take a closer look at the physical engravings on the console.īelieve me when I say pictures don’t do the design justice. Of course, I also love the fact that the top lid is matte, which should be able to resist scratches better than other limited edition designs with a glossy finish. That’s not the case at all with this particular model. See, I’m currently using the limited edition Monster Hunter: World PS4 Pro, and while it looks great, the plastic creaks quite a bit whenever I hold it up. There’s nothing much to see here, so let’s get to the main event: the sexy console.ĭoesn’t it just look amazing? When I first took it out of the box, I was actually surprised by the build quality of this PS4 Pro. Inside, There is a plain white box with the PS4 Pro lettering the outer packaging is really just a covering for this box. But what really caught my eye is the back of the box: just look at that artwork. The front of the box prominently features the limited edition PS4 Pro system with an engraving of Ellie’s tattoo, along with the custom DualShock 4. It’s a little troublesome, but after seeing the console with my own two eyes, it was definitely worth the hassle.
This limited edition PS4 Pro is not available here in Malaysia, so I had to import it from Singapore. I knew I had to get it the moment the console was announced, and…I did exactly that. After all, the custom design is engraved onto the console itself. Released in conjunction with the launch of The Last of Us Part II, this is one of the most unique PS4 Pro models. Apologies for the pun attempt with the headline, but this could really be the last limited edition PlayStation 4 Pro system to hit the market.
